Who needs a Food Manager Certification in Texas?

The State of Texas requires all food establishments to have at least one Certified Food Manager on staff. This certification is valid for five (5) years from the date of issuance.

Can the Food Manager exam be taken online?

Yes, the Food Manager exam is On-Line.

How long is the online exam?

The test is 80 questions, and requires a 71% in order to pass. The test taker has 2 test attempts to meet this requirement

How do I study for the final exam?

To study for the exam, we recommend purchasing the Certification Package. This includes the Online Food Manager Training Course and Unlimited Practice Exams. The course takes approximately 8 Hours to complete. You can start and stop as needed. Topics divided into 4 Learning Modules: - Unit 1: Foodborne Illnesses and their Sources - Unit 2: Safe Handling and the Flow of Food - Unit 3: Equipment, Cleaning, and Pest Management - Unit 4: Management Responsibilities After you have completed this training course, you have the option of taking the Practice Test to prepare for your Proctored Exam. You can take the Practice Test as many times as desired.
